Frequently Asked Questions
1. HOW WILL I PAY FOR MY ORDER? You may pay
by cash, check, money order or credit card. We accept Visa, MasterCard,
Discover and American Express. Terms are available for corporate
purchases. Please click here to contact us if you would like to
have a credit application sent to you.
2. CAN YOU DO RUSH ORDERS? Almost
always! Sometimes it costs a little more and it may call for a bit
of "thinking outside of the box"- but rush service is our specialty.
3. WHAT EXACTLY IS A RUSH? 24 HOURS? TWO WEEKS?
A MONTH?It depends on the product. Normal production
time on most imprinted items is two to three weeks, although that
isn't a hard and fast rule. Many of our preferred factories routinely
offer 3-5 working day service (Not counting shipping). Truly custom
items - like a 3-D Christmas ornament in the shape of your new office
building, cannot be rushed.
4. WHAT IS CAMERA - READY ARTWORK?
Usually it will consist of clean, crisp black and white artwork
printed on a laser printer at 600 dpi or digital artwork in a readable
file format.
5. SHIPPING COSTS? WHEN? WHY? HOW MUCH?
In addition to our in-house screen printing department, we represent
hundreds of promotional products manufacturers in the USA. Depending
on your needs, we'll choose the best place to produce your order
and ship it directly to you in the most economical way. We primarily
use UPS and FEDEX. If you prefer, we can ship on your account number.
Please note: shipping costs are highest on heavy items, which is
something to consider if you think that 500 coffee mugs are just
what you need for that trade show on Friday! Contact us for help
with "Plan B". If you would like to pick up an item printed in our
shop, we will cheerfully load it into your vehicle at no charge,
or you can take advantage of our "free delivery within ten miles"
service.
6. WHAT IS YOUR MINIMUM ORDER?
For garment screen printing, 12 pieces is our minimum. You may mix-up
what you order to get to a dozen, but they all must receive the
exact same imprint. Embroidery minimums are as low as 12 pieces,
depending on how your order is processed. Please contact us if your
needs are minimal as we can help guide you in choosing the appropriate
garment. Special note: Hats and shirts are decorated separately
and cannot be combined to achieve a minimum order. Minimums on everything
else varies. A good rule of thumb is, the less expensive the item,
the higher the minimum: You can order one engraved crystal football,
but you'll need to purchase 500 pencils.( Most of our factories
will imprint on less than their catalog listed minimums - but they
will also charge a less-than-minimum fee to help cover their costs.)
7. IS EMBROIDERY ALWAYS NICER THAN SCREEN PRINTING? IS IT MORE EXPENSIVE?
No and No. T-shirts and other smooth knit fabrics often look more
attractive when printed, especially when a design is complex because
we can capture very small details with our printing process. Additionally,
large embroidered designs on thinly knitted shirts can look "puckered"
after laundering. Embroidery is best used on corporate apparel -
jackets, denim shirts, pique knit golf shirts and sweaters. The
trend in embroidery is subtlety... small logos in discreet locations,
embroidered in a tone close to that of the garment onto which is
being applied. Hats are almost always embroidered. Most of our clients
prefer the unstructured cap with their logo embroidered on the front
and their tag-lines arching over the back in a thread color which
coordinates with the bill. Embroidery is more costly than printing
if a design is oversized, and printing costs can be higher when
a lot of colors are required - especially on small orders. Please

8. WHAT SHOULD WE GIVE AWAY? WHEN? WHY? HOW MANY?
Please take a look at our "10 Ways to use promo.
products". We have compiled award winning case histories to inspire
you. Remember to narrowly define your market - promotional products
can be a waste of money or the most effective part of your marketing
plan. The old adage states, "Advice is cheap" but we would like
to take issue with this and offer you an alternative thought- "Consultation
is free". Work with us and you will be delighted to discover we
do not believe that more is necessarily better. |
